Description
OverviewThe Head Golf Professional at Bent Tree Country Club is a key leadership position within the Golf Department and serves as the primary operational partner to the Director of Golf. The club recently hired Troy Spencer, PGA as it's Director of Golf and the position will report to him and be supported by General Manager Kurt Greve, PGA Master Professional, CMAA Member.
This position is responsible for delivering a first-class golf experience for members and guests through daily golf operations, tournament execution, staff leadership, player development, member engagement, golf shop service standards, and support of the Club's culture of hospitality.
The Head Golf Professional will join Bent Tree Country Club, Dallas, Texas at an important and exciting time in the Club's history, with the position beginning in July 2026 as the Club prepares for the reopening of its newly renovated Beau Welling-designed golf course in late October/early November 2026.
This individual must be polished, organized, highly visible, service-minded, and capable of helping lead a golf operation that reflects the standards of a premier private country club in Dallas, Texas.

Experience Required
- PGA of America Class A Member in good standing required.
- Minimum of three to five years of progressive golf operations experience, preferably at a respected private country club.
- Prior supervisory experience with Assistant Golf Professionals, outside services, golf shop staff, and/or tournament teams.
- Strong knowledge of the Rules of Golf, tournament operations, handicap administration, golf instruction, and private club service standards.
- Experience with tee sheet systems, tournament software, POS systems, Microsoft Office, email communication, and member databases.
- Ability to teach quality private lessons, clinics, junior golf, women's golf, beginner golf, and on-course instruction.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional appearance, credible golf game, strong interpersonal skills, and a service-first attitude.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, early mornings, evenings, tournament days, and peak Club activity periods as required.
Essential Responsibilities
- Collaborating with the Director of Golf, oversee the daily golf operation to ensure a consistent, polished, and member-focused experience.
- Assist with the management of the tee sheet, starting times, member play patterns, guest play, and daily golf course flow.
- Monitor pace of play and work proactively with the professional staff, starters, player assistants, and outside services team to ensure a positive experience.
- Ensure proper charging and accounting for guest fees, cart fees, club storage, locker fees, handicap fees, tournament charges, lessons, clinics, and other golf-related services.
- Maintain strong operational standards for the golf car fleet, staging areas, bag room, practice facilities, club storage, and all member-facing golf areas.
- Ensure golf equipment is stored, cleaned, secured, and handled with exceptional care.
- Assist in administering and enforcing Club golf policies, guest policies, dress code expectations, cart rules, pace of play standards, and other golf-related Club rules.
- Serve as a visible and accessible professional presence on the first tee, practice facilities, Golf Shop floor, tournament staging areas, and throughout the golf operation.
